Brave New World
The brief was to redesign the cover of the classic novel with fresh ideas
For the first two, I created a "clandestine old spy photo" of the factory where humans are made and bottled. I created the label and the dusty old black and white image to show as if it were taken and smuggled out and you're getting the secret photo. The type treatment for these are inspired by old signage of the times to accentuate the "retro-future" feel of the novel.

For the other two, I used a retro illustration of a "perfect society of the future" with monorails and skyscrapers and the like. However I altered the sky to an ominous sickly green, or a hellish red. I wanted the title to jump off the page as if it were a Broadway theater or a 40s movie trailer. I feel both of these covers would be eye grabbing on any shelf.
